Midway through the second half, the senior duo of Chamberlain Browning (Troy, OH/Troy) and Brooke Mullis (Lawrenceburg, IN/Taylor) got in on the offensive action, as Browning scored off a Mullis pass and helped Wittenberg earn the three-goal victory. Upon review, a double assist was awarded on the play, with Mackenzie Hessick (Hillard, OH/Darby) also getting on the scoresheet on the play.
Defensively, Lily Winkle (Cynthiana, KY/Harrison County) recorded the win for the Tigers in goal, playing all 90 minutes and recording two saves on the afternoon. The Tigers were dominant throughout the match and outshot Oberlin a whopping 17-2 and recorded nine corner kicks to the Yeomen's one.
The match also served as Wittenberg's senior day, where it honored the program's seven seniors; Browning, Sophia Grossman (Kettering, OH/Fairmont), Hannah Heald (Westerville, OH/Olentangy Orange), Mackenzie Hessick (Hilliard, OH/Darby), Grace Koperna (Macedonia, OH/Nordonia), Mullis and Abby Sphar (Lebanon, OH/Lebanon).
