Tiger Women’s Bowling Finishes 11th at Raider Classic
BEAVERCREEK, OH - Wittenberg women's bowling team earned an 11th-place finish at the Raider Classic Collegiate Tournament hosted by Wright State University. The 17-team field comprised of teams from all Division I, Division II, Division III and NAIA institutions. The Tigers posted a team score of 6766.
The Tigers tallied solid outings at the event, with two women, earning top-50 finishes. Freshman Ryleigh Rasey (Richwood, OH/North Union) continued her impressive season performances, pacing Witt, as she recorded a team-best 34th place finish with a total score of 890 pins over five games. Rasey posted a game-high in the fourth game with a score of 219. Teammate Chloe Steiner (Troy, OH/Sidney Lehman Catholic) placed 36th overall, finishing with a cumulative score of 882 pins throughout five games. Steiner's best performance came in the fifth game, where she tallied a score of 209.
Freshman Grace Tyler (Christiansburg, OH/St. Paris Graham) placed 60th overall, with a total score of 786 pins over five games. Her best score was in her first game, with a score of 193. Sydney Wilson (Springfield, OH/Shawnee) and Taylor Rausch (Mechanicsburg, OH/Mechanicsburg) also secured top 100 finishes in the tournament. Wilson finished 86th with a total score of 531 over three games, and Rausch placed 90th with a score of 487 over three games.
Cambryn Tom (Mechanicsburg, OH/Mechanicsburg) and Bridget Capper (Springfield, OH/Springfield) finished 110th and 113th respectively. Tom had a total score of 311 throughout two games and Capper posted a score of 274, also over two games.
Wittenberg takes a break from action, and returns to the lanes on Wednesday, December 18 as the Tigers travel to Las Vegas to participate at the Glenn Carlson Las Vegas Invitational, hosted at the South Point Bowing Plaza. The invitational is a two-day event, and is followed by Witt participating in the Las Vegas Collegiate Shoot-Out, December 20 and 21.
