Wittenberg Falls to Wabash Despite Success from Deep
SPRINGFIELD, OH-Wittenberg hosted Wabash at Pam Evans Smith Arena looking to get another win on the board, but after a close battle, the Tigers were unable to keep up, the Litttle Giants pulling off a 66-56 win. With the loss, Wittenberg's record falls to 8-16 (4-11 NCAC) and with their win, Wabash now has a record of 16-8 (12-3 NCAC).
After the first half, Wittenberg was down six points in a game that seemed to be much closer and in the second half, the Tigers were able to eventually pull out to a 42-34 lead after a pair of threes from Cameron Harrison (Eaton, OH / National Trail), but the Tigers were unable to keep the momentum on their side as the Little Giants went on a run and didn't look back after gaining a 51-50 after a barrage of three-point shots. The Tigers looked poised to stage another comeback, but ended up with another loss on their record despite their best effort.
Team Leaders
- Jacob Roeth (Troy, OH / Miami East) led the team in points, scoring 15 off the bench, while Harrison finished with 12, the only players in double-figures for the Tigers.
- Pacing the team in rebounds was Eddie Brown (Lewis Center, OH / Olentangy Orange) with nine while Cal Bavineau (Dexter, MI / Dexter) pulled down six of his own.
- Bavineau dished out five assists and Brown tossed three of his own.
- Multiple players had steals, but Brown had the lead for Wittenberg with two on the night.
