The Wittenberg men's and women's golf teams practice and compete in style at multiple locations, both on- and off-campus. Between the outdoor options at Springfield Country Club and year-round availability of the Golf Practice Rooms, Wittenberg golf is never rained out.
The teams utilize historic Springfield Country Club as the primary practice and competition venue. In addition, Tiger student-athletes on the men's and women's golf teams have access to expert-level analysis and complete indoor training year-round using the Golf Practice Rooms in the Kilgore Athletic Corridor, located in Wittenberg's Health, Wellness & Athletics (HWA) Complex.

Golf Practice Rooms
The Golf Practice Rooms are an impressive fixture within the HWA Complex, offering advantages not seen at many Division III schools. Wittenberg's indoor golf practice facilities include equipment to practice every stage of the game.
Located within the Kilgore Athletic Corridor in heart of the HWA Complex, the Golf Practice Rooms include a state-of-the-art indoor netting system with an artificial, golf-specific surface and hitting mats designed to simulate the feel of a golf course and absorb impact. A putting green, also equipped with golf-specific artificial surface, provides an area to focus on the short game. Tiger student-athletes have the ability to record and play back their strokes on an integrated video system, an especially unique benefit of the Varsity Golf Practice Rooms.
Also within the confines of the rooms are general fitness and training equipment, designed to provide opportunities to focus on tweaking swings and increasing core fitness. In addition, a repair workshop outfitted with top-notch equipment is available to Tiger coaches and student-athletes.
Springfield Country Club
The 18-hole, 72-par golf course at Springfield Country Club was designed by Donald Ross and traverses beautiful rolling hills in a pristine wooded setting. The club started with the opening of its golf course in 1898. Gentle slopes, old-growth stands of trees, beautifully manicured grounds and a prime location, away from traffic and nestled in a historic, residential neighborhood, make the Springfield Country Club a one-of-a-kind home and a first-class golf experience.
The country club is conveniently located at the intersection of Home Road and North Fountain Boulevard, just one mile from campus, next to the historic and beautiful Northridge residential area. Springfield Country Club plays hosts to the annual Wittenberg Golf Alumni, Family and Friends outing, as well as all Tiger home golf events. History
The men's and women's golf teams at Wittenberg have practiced and competed at numerous Springfield-area golf facilities over the years. Snyder Park and Windy Knoll Golf Club both served as home sites for past Tiger events, and Springfield Country Club has hosted the Wittenberg teams in recent years. In addition, the Country Club of the North in Beavercreek and Urbana Country Club have both welcomed the Tigers for practice rounds.
Wittenberg has served as the host institution for two NCAA Division III national championships, both at Reid Park South, first in 1976, just the second Division III championship held, and again in 1982.
